Here at AH-UN YakiNiku & Kushi Yaki restaurant located in Rotterdam at the Mauritsweg, we pride ourselves in offering you an authentic Japanese-style barbecue and Kushi Yaki experience.

YakiNiku has its roots in Japan and comes from the words ‘Yaki’ meaning ‘grilled’, and ‘Niku’ meaning ‘meat’. Traditionally, YakiNiku is only referred to the act of grilling meat, however, nowadays it does not just evolve the grilling techniques but also the ingredients, sauces, and cooking style.

In addition to the grilling, we serve Kushi Yaki. Kushi Yaki is a distinctive Japanese dish featuring skewered meat, seafood, or vegetables grilled to a level of excellence that is truly delicious. Our skewers are marinated beforehand to bring out the best flavours. To complement the flavours, we offer a variety of different dipping sauces that adds an extra layer of richness to the dish.

Our top-quality beef is Wagyu, known worldwide for its exceptional flavour and tenderness. At your table, you will find your own Shinpo® Grill from Japan.
